We have four Community Advisory Boards: three based in South Texas and one in Houston, Texas. These advisory board meetings have been essential to advancing our work on water quality and public health issues. They have played a key role in shaping culturally and linguistically sensitive methods for survey design and results dissemination, making our findings data accessible and relevant to the communities we serve.
Additionally, these meetings have strengthened our partnerships with local advocacy groups, non-profit organizations, community centers, and other stakeholders. The support from these collaborations has extended our outreach, allowing us to better address community needs.
Most importantly, our advisory boards provide a platform for community members to share their insights and concerns on environmental and public health topics. Their input has been invaluable, guiding our initiatives to ensure our approach reflects the lived experiences of those most impacted.
